Hi, I'm Veronika Leslie.
Veronika Leslie is a contemporary artist born in Hungary and currently based in Singapore, where she has lived for the past eleven years. Working primarily in charcoal, Leslie explores themes of memory, identity, stillness, and human connection through figurative compositions that balance delicacy with emotional depth. Her ongoing body of work, Whispers of Life, reflects a quiet observation of the inner world and the fleeting moments that often remain unspoken.
Before fully dedicating herself to art, Leslie traveled extensively around the world as a model — an experience that shaped her sensitivity to human expression, gesture, and atmosphere. Later, after becoming a mother of two, drawing became a more intimate and personal form of storytelling. Charcoal emerged as her primary medium for its rawness, softness, and ability to reveal subtle emotional transitions through light and shadow.
Her visual language often combines hands, flowers, fabric, and symbolic natural elements, creating works that exist between realism and poetic introspection. Through layered darkness and luminous detail, Leslie’s drawings invite the viewer into moments of pause, reflection, and emotional recognition.
Leslie’s works are held in private collections internationally, including private residences in Spain. Alongside her fine art practice, she continues to develop an evolving body of figurative charcoal works and limited-edition prints from her Singapore studio.
